Guidelines on Setting-up Autoresponders

Autoresponders are softwares or computer programs that are designed to handle e-mails to and from your subscribers. They are used to send messages, either sequential or broadcast messages, to your subscribers. Autoresponders can be server-based or can be subscribed to. Server based autoresponders sit on your server and you would be the one maintaining it. You would also need technical skills to configure it and make it work effectively. If you find these things strenuous, then I would recommend that you just subscribe for an autoresponder system. There are companies that provide autoresponder services and subscribing to them would be the most convenient case for you. Also, these companies are already expert about autoresponders so you would not bother about the technical stuffs about autoresponders. Examples of companies that provide such service are 1shoppingcart, Aweber, and GetResponse. You would just have to pay a small amount for the usage fee.

Once you have subscribed to one of those companies, the next thing you have to do is to configure the messages and the sending frequency of the messages in your autoresponder. You would need to have a series of out-going messages and decide how often you want these messages to be sent to your subscribers. Most marketers would send messages 3 to 4 times a week, but it would really depend on you and the type of market you are targeting. Create enough outgoing messages what would last for around 2 months.

Setting up an autoresponder is quite an easy thing to do. The harder part is how to build the list of e-mails of your prospect customers. You should know that an autoresponder system is useless if it doesn’t have the people to respond to. The final thing you need is a “bonus” that you could offer to your visitors to make them subscribe to your list so you could get your autoresponder system to work.
